At your initial appointment and in five-year increments, a full mouth series of x-rays or panoramic imaging is recommended. This type of imaging enables practitioners to evaluate any pathology throughout the bone and at the root of each tooth. Panoramic imaging is also utilized to establish the positioning of the teeth in preparation for  wisdom tooth extraction.
