That means no more silver fillings.

A note about dental caries (cavities). A cavity occurs in hard tooth structure that has undergone irreversable damage. If left untreated dental cavities continue to grow and can reach the nerve of the tooth and even extend deep to the root surface. Cavities which progress to this degree require more extensive treatment. This is why it is important to catch and treat dental cavities early in their development.

Cavities have been found to be caused by a diet high in sugar and acidic foods. Sports drinks, juices, candy and frequent snacking are often the culprits. Lack of salivary flow and other health conditions may also make a patients teeth more prone to decay.
